What does the HEV light do? - HEV light stands for high-energy visible light, but it is usually called "blue light". HEV light can be compared to UVA/UVB light coming from the sun, but HEV light is emitted from screens. The light penetrates the skin and can release free radicals that lead to wrinkles, fine lines, rougher skin texture and pigment spots. The light affects, among other things, our collagen production and the skin's creation of hyaluronic acid, which is what makes the skin stick. Camilla of Sweden has added niacinamide along with the ingredients that protect against HEV light to prevent your skin from aging prematurely. The blue light also causes increased skin sensitivity and increased dryness.
